Sigiriya
Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the ancient city of Sigiriya is centered on a massive rock, rising 200 meters above the surrounding plain. Sigiriya’s location is one of considerable natural beauty and historical interest, lying between the historic capitals of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa. The Sigiriya plain still retains much of its forest cover, and many of its present village settlements and human-made village reservoirs date back to the first millennium B.C. In its current form, Sigiriya is essentially a fifth-century A.D. walled-and-moated royal capital. It has a palace complex on top of the rock, elaborate pleasure gardens, extensive moats and ramparts, and well-known paintings on the western face of the cliff.

Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya, meaning "the city of light," has the highest elevation (about 2,000 meters above sea level) in Sri Lanka. It is here you will find Sri Lanka's tallest peak, Piduruthalagala (2,555 meters). The city was established by British colonial officer John Davy back in 1819 and became known as "Little England." Nuwara Eliya is a popular destination for Sri Lankans and travelers due to its cool climate and quaint colonial feel with its little bungalows surrounded by hedgerows. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of the tea country. While visiting, you can stop by a plantation and a factory to witness the brewing of the famous "Ceylon Tea."

Ella Rock
Located in the highlands of Sri Lanka, Ella Rock is a small village filled with tea estates, mountains, waterfalls, and, of course, plenty of crisp fresh air. Yala National Park
Yala National Park is situated in the south-east of Sri Lanka and is widely regarded as the top park due to its range of wildlife. Yala was first designated as a national park in 1938 and is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. On a single day safari, you may see families of elephants, slithering pythons, great black bears, or herds of buffalo. Yala National Park is particularly popular as it offers the chance to see one of the most beautiful big cats, the elusive Sri Lankan leopard. Be sure to listen to your guides and arrive early.
