Welcome to Norway! Upon arrival to Oslo Airport, make your way through customs and immigrations, proceed to collect your luggage. You will then make your own way to your accommodations. Enjoy your first day in this northern paradise!

Oslo Street Food Tour

Embark on a delicious street food tour through the bustling city of Oslo! You’ll explore the lush riverside paths of Akerselva, snap photos of colorful street murals and stroll through the quirky corners of this vibrant district known as the center of Oslo’s alternative culture. Along the way, you’ll get to sample some of Norway’s best street eats, with four tasting stops that will leave your taste buds dancing. Taste a classic Norwegian hotdog (pølse) wrapped in soft lompe, a sampling of Norwegian tapas featuring local meats, fish and traditional delicacies. You will also have heart-shaped Norwegian waffles with jam and sour cream—just like grandma makes! Quench your thirst as you sip local Norwegian Cola and a choice of craft Norwegian beer (or fresh apple juice for non-drinkers). Oslo’s on the move. With the recently opened MUNCH Museum, Deichmann Library and National Museum, Norway’s capital has become a rich cultural hub. These new additions to the skyline are an architecture lover’s dream, and they fit perfectly between the Opera House and the Barcode. Nature is never far away in Oslo, and you can get to a quaint forest lake or the famous ski jump Holmenkollen in less than 20 minutes on the metro from the city centre. The city is built around the Oslofjord, so it’s easy to visit one of the charming islands. Then there’s the food! With award-winning restaurants and coffee shops seemingly around every corner, Oslo is fast becoming one of Europe’s most tastebud tantalizing destinations.

Winter E-Bike Tour

Explore the wintery forest surrounding Oslo by e-bike. The bike tour is followed by a cozy campfire. By a peaceful lake in the woods, you get to learn how to make fire in the wild. We can talk about Norwegian outdoor food traditions, local life or other topics. You will also have a chance to taste some of the most "Norwegian" food every local enjoys from time to time! Day 3: Oslo - Myrdal - Flåm

The 5-hour train journey from Oslo to Myrdal is part of the Bergen Railway, which is classed as one of the finest train journeys in the world. This railway connects Oslo and Bergen, the two largest cities in Norway, and shows the diversity of the Norwegian landscape.

At Myrdal station you will change to the Flåm Railway, and continue with the Flåm Railway to the fjord village of Flåm. The Flåm Railway passes through wild and beautiful mountain scenery with waterfalls and steep mountain sides from a height of 900 meters and down to the Sognefjord. There is no other adhesion railway in the world running on normal tracks that is so steep over a long distance.

Day 5: Flåm

Snowshoe Hike

Your trip begins by minibus along the Aurlandfjord and up to the spectacular viewpoint Stegastein, 650 meters above main sea level. On arrival you will be introduced to snowshoes, how to hike in them and the history behind them. While hiking, your local guide will explain about life on the mountain farms, the dramatic nature, winter by the fjords and the culture in the area.

The 1.5 hour hike gives you opportunities to see the fjord far beneath you, the typical Norwegian town Aurland, Flåm and the white mountain tops surrounding the entire fjord. At the turning point you will be served hot beverages and the time to take in the quiet and unique beauty of the area. The photo opportunities are many. Before the bus takes you back to Flåm there will be a stop at the viewpoint Stegastein. (This service is on a private basis.)

Ægir Bryggeri

This evening dine on a delicious dinner at Ægir BrewPub! Experience the Viking Era and Ægir Brewery. Ægir beer is used in marinades and sauces, with hops, malt and herbs bringing a distinctive dimension to the food. Ægir brews flavorsome beers, both light and dark, that compliment everything from fish and game to chocolate. Try their most popular dish- the Ægir Viking Plank, a 5 course food and beer menu where all beers pair perfectly with the different dishes. (This service is on a group basis.)

Day 6: Flåm - Bergen

In Flåm you will embark on a passenger ferry from The Fjords. The 2-hour, non-guided fjord cruise on the eco-friendly vessel will bring you along the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen, located at the head of the Nærøyfjord. The Nærøyfjord is the narrowest fjord channel in Europe and has been added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

Viking Valley

In Viking Valley, you will meet the inhabitants of the Viking town of Njardarheimr, which will take you 1,000 years back in time. In Njardarheimr, you get to take an active part in a community of people who are passionate about telling the story of the Vikings, their journeys, boats and how the Viking Age has left its mark on our modern society. Here you can freely wander around and experience the various buildings and activities in the Viking town and learn more about building practices, religion, food and crafts. The best way to learn is to take part in "The Viking Experience", a 45-minute tour that is included in the entrance fee and starts every 30 minutes during the summer season.

Viking Valley Lunch

This afternoon at 12:00 PM, taste the best that could be served during this time period and learn more about food and traditions!

Travel by bus from Gudvangen quay to Voss train station.

Travel by train from Voss to Bergen. The approx. 1.5-hour train ride is part of the Bergen Railway, which connects Norway's largest cities, Oslo and Bergen.

Upon arrival to Bergen, you will make your own way to your accommodations.

Located in Norway's stunning southwestern coast, Bergen is known for its colorful wooden houses and surrounding fjords and mountains. "The heart of the fjords" is a charming town with cobblestone streets, picturesque old wharf, and the UNESCO site of Bryggen, a Hanseatic wharf, standing as a remnant of Bergen's past as a trade center between Norway and Europe. Enjoy a floating sauna, take in a concert in the evening, or visit the Fish Market with a near 750 year history! Bergen is bursting with culture no matter how you choose to explore it!

Bergen Food & Culture Walk

On today's culinary adventure you will learn about not only delicious local produce but food traditions as well as Bergen's interesting culture and people! There will be exciting stops along the way, where you will get to taste a selection of what the city has to offer. You will visit UNESCO World Heritage Listed – Bryggen, in addition to a meal at a local gem of a restaurant. The last stop is to a cellar that dates back to the 1300s. Day 8: Bergen Departure
