After breakfast, the day begins with a tour of Amman visiting the city highlights including the citadel and the Roman theater. You will then venture outside the city to Al Salt for a 2 hour walking tour. Along the way you'll have the opportunity to pray in the AL-Khader Orthodox church, one of the oldest and holiest shrines in all of Jordan, dating back to 1682 and used by both Muslims and Christians alike. Next, visit the Madafat Al Khalili, a traditional place for family gatherings. Afterward, enjoy the breathtaking view of the city from the English Complex. Observe the magic of the old Islamic City where mosques and churches gather in one place and next to each other. Throughout the day, you will be able to communicate with the local people and try the most delicious local dishes in their home. After trying the dishes, walk through Al-Hammam Street, one of the most famous and old streets in the city. Early this morning, you will start your adventurous journey to Jerusalem. Start the day by transferring from Amman to King Hussein/ Allenby Bridge. After crossing the border, you will drive along the Dead Sea toward the Masada fortress. The famous King Herod built the fortress as the last stand of the Zealots against the Romans.Set foot back in time as you witness the dramatic remaining settings and excabations. Next, stop at Qumran to see where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. The tour will start in the visitor center, where you will learn some basic facts about Petra. From the center, make your way through Siq, a high walled red sandstone canyon. Next, you will come across the famous Treasury, where you will have time to marvel at the beautiful building carved in stone thousands of years ago. Continue exploring the Rose-Red City and discover its may caves, tombs, Roman theatre, and other places/structures. You can also hike up to the High Place of Sacrifice or the Monastery!
