For decades, Tamarindo has hosted explorers seeking ideal surf waves and beach parties. Thus, it enjoys the benefits of one of the country's most developed and pristine beaches. Luxury resorts and lodges keep the beaches clean, while international restaurants cater to every imaginable requirement. Located in a broad bay in the warm and sunny northwest Guanacaste Province, the activities on offer expand far beyond the beaches though. Travelers can also enjoy coastal bird watching and estuary tours, sports fishing, snorkeling, diving tours and sailing, among others.
The horseshoe bay of Tamarindo, on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, offers three and a half kilometers of white sand and azure waters. Five-star resorts are strung along the beachfront with charming restaurants, bars, and shops clustered further back from the beach, under the lush vegetation that blankets this laid back town. Surfing, diving, estuary trips, fishing, and a weekly farmers market are just some of the activities on offer in Tamarindo. For a rare opportunity to witness turtles nesting, travel to National Park Las Baulas just outside town.
Enjoy a catamaran tour in Playa Tamarindo where you will cruise along Costa Rica’s Gold Coast while passing some of Guanacaste’s exotic bays, white sand beaches, and tropical jungles. Gaze off the bow with a cold tropical drink, prepared and served by our crew, as you scan the seas for dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish, or even a breaching whale.
Stop in a tranquil bay, drop anchor, and frolic in the blue Pacific. Snorkel in the bay or run down the deserted white sand beach while the ever-helpful crew prepares a feast of BBQ chicken, yellow Spanish rice, fruit, chips, black bean puree, pico de gallo, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. (This service is on a group basis.)
Enjoy another wonderful day in Tamarindo at your leisure. Continue discovering the wonders that this beautiful place has to offer.
Although your adventure must come to an end today, you will be leaving with new friends, amazing experiences and memories to cherish for the rest of your life.
